A rook.
If you were a chess piece, which one would you be and why?
Don't know about me, but I'm sure GothamChess would be a Knight, Magnus and Hikaru - Rooks (obviously)
I would be okay with being a few different pieces.
I would like to be the queen because, obviously, she can move anywhere.
The knight would be good because it can sneak up on people and can unexpectedly move!!
Bishops are nice too. I was told when I first started playing to always keep the Bishops by the King and Queen so they can tell the King and Queen where to move. It made since because the chess board I used had the Bishops look like they had mouths facing the King and Queen.
Overall, I would be any piece orther than a pawn. I always sacrifice them since I play Gambit openings...
Kings get to just sit around though while everybody else just protects him, so I guess that could be good too.
If I could be any chess piece, I’d pick to be a knight. First off, it moves in an L-shape which makes it kind of unpredictable. I like surprising my opponents just like how the knight does! They can hop into tricky spots on the board and find creative ways to make a play.
And let’s not forget, the knight is a loyal piece. It's there to protect. So, if I were a chess piece, I’d be a knight, what about you?
