Here is a competition for best made-up piece for chess. The pieces will be judged by me(and two other people(if you'd like to volunteer please do)).
they will be judged every 25
rules: 1. no copying(if you are caught with plagiarism, banned for one month.) 2. judged every #25 new pieces(1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th) 3. have fun
The Soldier: cannot move, starts on k1,k8, and can as a move capture a piece 3 squares or nearer away from it.
Has a point value of 7. A piece can push this as a move 1 square.

Shielded Piece: Any piece which in addition to its normal powers, cannot be captured by direct attacks to its face/front which can be rotated after moving. rotating a shielded piece without moving counts as a move.
