Why can I win against 700-1000 rated bots but not against any real player rated over 300?

Hey im new here and im activly studying for two weeks, I played against the bots (around 700 worked very well for me) and I created an account to save my real player games. Well. I think I managed 2 or 3 Checkmates and all of the other (many!) games are either a tie or lost. I know I managed to produce a mess in some games, but its no comparison to bot plays.

Are the strategies of bots and human players that different? What can I do?

bots at anything lower than max level are almost useless

they will play flawless and then, to handicap itself, will throw in the most ridiculous blunders

the bot plays nothing like a human

i would recommend playing humans only and, win, lose or draw, go over your games afterwards to see what you can learn from it

i find bots to be most beneficial in practicing endgame technique (lucena positons, checkmating with bishop and knight, etc)

simple

im 1250

i can beat 1700 bots

its because bots dont play like humans

You can take it slow and progress by playing games and trying to learn a bit outside of games. I advise you to read this:

These methods helped me progress steadily over the last 8 months, you might find it instructive.

i find it when your playing against players lower rated than you. they make mistake/moves which you cant predict. if you pass that 700 mark i recon you'll go up to 1000 easily.

also i dont think you should be studying chess at a low level, or at least books

but there is a book i can recommend to players below 100 (Jose raul capablanca's chess fundamentals)

hope this helped!

Don't play against bots, they'll ruin your chess

If you're new to the game, play 30|0 games in the live server, so you have time to think. Don't play Bullet or Blitz right when you are learning the game, that won't make you think.

That’s what Neo said 👍🏽

Bots are not humans. Real chess is to beat humans not bots.

That's because of talent inflation.  You can see this on the high end when GMs play other GMs, their ratings often stagnate or go down in their career.  On the low level, if every 300 rated player can beat a 800 rated bot then when they play other 300 players, they are playing players that can also beat a 800 rated bot.

bots are strenth and inflated, humans can ajust and etc

It’s just the way it is. I can beat bots in the 1200-1400 range, but my own rating is currently around 740 and I’ve regularly lost to players rated ~650.

humans are generally less predictable and more speratic/random than a computer

The rating on a bot that is not in the player pool is an arbitrary guess. If those 700-1000 bots gained or lost rating points they'd likely be way, way lower.
