I can’t stop thinking people are Smurfing
Quickly checking your last 3 losses, you started off having some advantage, only to blunder a piece in some way. You are right that it's easy until opponents get some help, it's just that such help is provided by yourself. Don't worry, you'll get less blunders in time.
For sub-1000 rated players the most common scenario is not that our opponents beat us because of their greater skill at chess but because we gift them victory by virtue of our blunders. Try to spend a little more time before each move to consider how your opponent will react. Does your move allow your opponent to check, or checkmate, you? Are you hanging the piece that you are moving? Is your move leaving another piece undefended?
Also, if you don’t already, review your games - look for repeated errors that you can fix.
Don’t be deterred - keep playing!
Your opponents also try to win, and if you give them a win they'll gladly take it. YOu find yourself surprised by some of their moves? It doesn't necessarily mean they're smurfing, it can also mean your awareness of your opponents intentions isn't great. If you started a short time ago then that is very likely because it's not an easy skill to pick up (most beginners tend to overly focus on their own plans).
To be honest, I have felt the same at times. But I've also noticed there is a big difference between a player with 100 games played and 5,000 games played, even at the same rating. Experience matters, they might be able to pounce on mistakes and shift mid-game plans more easily even if their calculations are well-matched with yours.
