Dear Chess Friends,

An incredible blunder happened in the final game of Ding vs. Gukesh World Championship Match, so I made a video about it, starting with the critical position and I explain why Ding resigned at the end. You can watch the video with a FREE SUBSCRIPTION on my Patreon channel here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ding-vs-gukesh-117833071.

The main topics what you can learn from this video:

- Simplifying to a winning endgame

- The importance of the blockade

- 2 pawns vs. 1 pawn situations in pawn endgames

Well, as I mentioned in the video, these guys could be totally exhausted, they had to concentrate for weeks, mentally, physically, it's a really exhausting event. They are also human beings. happy.png

Watching this made me realize I never want to become a professional chess player lol

It's okay to be professional but not an easy lifestyle. grin.png

Who probably would have won if it went to tie breaks?

Well, it's difficult to judge, I would say it's 50-50% but allegedly Ding is better in rapid. It would have been really exciting. happy.png

9, For sure. Getting to titled player level already takes years and even then it's probably not a great source of income. Unless you make books, or lessons or stream.

Yes, that's what most of the experts say. But as we saw in the last game, anything can happen even with classical time control. happy.png
