chees Book
There are so many books on chess and many great books to choose from. You'll need to narrow things down by identifying what type of book you are looking for (opening book, puzzles book, master games book and so on) and also what your current level of chess understanding is. Obviously, the "best book" for a beginner learning the rules will be very different from the "best book" a titled player will choose to read next.
What are you looking for in a chess book?
Logical Chess: Move by Move (Chernev)
Kasparov Teaches Chess (Kasparov)
Winning Chess (Chernev & Reinfeld)

Logical Chess: Move by Move (Chernev)
Kasparov Teaches Chess (Kasparov)
Winning Chess (Chernev & Reinfeld)
I second this, especially "Winning Chess" by Chernev & Rienfeld
Simple Chess: A great explanation of strategy, making it very easy to understand. You have it on YT as well: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUrgfsyInqNbkyiwPSSBQ6ALkkccKItPE
The best books for a beginner that explain tactics in English and in full details is "Predator at the Chessboard 1 & 2".
I recommend these chess books for beginners. Both books are endorsed by chess masters! Both books are available on Amazon.com.
1) 50 Poison Pieces
2) Queen for a Day: The Girl's Guide To Chess Mastery
Levy Rozman recently released a good book for beginners, through about 1000 ELO. "How to Win at Chess". The eBook version is excellent, as it has links to online reviews and drills.
I also have found "Logical Chess" to be very relatable as a beginner level player. The Chess Vibes YouTube channel has a thoughtful chapter-by-chapter series dedicated to the book. I have found it helpful to view a video and then read the associated chapter in the book. "Logical Chess" is also available as an eBook.
