Does anyone have recommendations for a king and pawn endgame book for a Class A player?

Also, what's the best king and pawn endgame study material on chess.com for a diamond member?

royalbishop

An entire book on King and pawn endgame!

I think you mean End Game bood with that has some chapters on King and Pawn End Game.

Yuri Averbakh and I. Maizelis' Comprehensive Chess Endings Volume 4 Pawn Endings is devoted solely to pawn endings as is the volume of Sahovski Informator's Encyclopaedia of Chess Endings with the pawn on the cover.  The first edition of Encyclopaedia of Chess Endings in 1982 had Botvinnik amongst its contributors, but Sahovski put out a new edition in 2012 compiled by Yugoslav players.  If you're looking for something easier, GM Glenn Flear has a book called Starting Out: Pawn Endgames.

Starting Out: Pawn Endgames  that has to be the most boring book ever to read about chess. That should be easy to get and cheap.... used.

Silman's endgames book

I find it chaming when someone poster parachutes in with a strong opinion to share in a dead topic.

Those who dispsense snark about such contributions ... not so much.

Bruce Pan Doll Funny has a wonderfilled little splash called Endgame Course. It's chock full-o-errors, like his coconut, but it truly is a very-very instructive book. Thanks Bruce !....I learned so much.

....and bfn ?....it'll open your parachute....Smile....

"Secrets Of Pawn Endings"

Probably not only the best on the subject but one of the best overall chess books.

This is the only book I'm aware of that is exclusively King and Pawn endings.

However, you need to know more than just King and Pawn endings.  I always recommend Silman's Endgame Course for anybody under 1800, Muller's book for anyone over 1800, and for those expert or higher, the Grandmaster Preparation series and the series that Dvoretsky and Yusupov co-wrote (5 books), each series of which has one book that focuses on the endgame, along with one other book on Complex Endings that is yellow written by a teenager back in 2012 that I can't recall the name of off the top of my head.

Why would you know better what he means? Or are you just unaware of the fact that books on pawn endings alone do exist?
