You should get a dialog with a button to Claim Discord Nitro
If you didn't and are on the app, you'll need to update to get a version that supports that offer dialog feature.
Oh, thanks but also it says you need a payment method. It's FREE but why do we need cards and payment method while it's FREE?!
So it still counts as scam as I don't have card

It's a trial subscription which works similarly to how trials work here. That's apparently how Discord set up the promotion on their end
Making it a trial that automatically renews is really scummy, although I’ll blame discord for this one not chess.com who I doubt had any say in this
