When does it come into effect

all of the membership features, etc are in effect :) you will never LOSE anything (your games and rating information are all stored).
I just loged in and saw the different options for becoming gold member, etc.., and the features that are available after becoming either one of the different membership categories
when does this come into effect?
note: I just want to make sure I make my payment before losing access to either one of the features I am enjoying at the moment
