What is the total number in the rank?

Sort:
SuperKnight42

In My Online Chess, I have seen this line:

Today's Rank:#1324 of 13,426 (90.1%)

I thought we already have the total number of the members on chess.com exceeded 100,000.  Why do we only consider the percentage in 13,426 people?

because the other ones haven't played a chess game yet and so can't be ranked

Does anyone know the chess.com average Elo of the active players?

click on the PLAYERS link in the chess tab and you will see it. it is just about 1300.

Good info.  I didn't know that before.  The player list is available!

Is that a good idea to put a link under the 'Members' menu item?

Thanks Erik!

Erik - is this true?

Of 129,000 members, only 16,000 have played enough games to get a ranking?

I find that quite surprising...

Me too. Why do so many people give up?
