The most annoying types of player

• The one who, in a completely, clearly and unambiguously lost position will offer a draw. (I have had this happen to me even in real-life games, not just online ones.)
• The one who, in a completely, clearly and unambiguously lost position will keep playing until you mate them, even though it's a 15|10 game and you have 8 minutes left on your clock.
• The one who falls for an opening trap that he doesn't know, and gets utterly destroyed because of it, and accuses you of and reports you for "cheating".
• The one who starts a 15|10 game and then complains if you take more than 20 seconds to think on a position.

I'll add detail to each bullet point:

1) I agree. If you are completely lost, then just acknowledge it and resign. If they truly feel that a draw can be offered, then they are not truly lost: however, weaker players especially have trouble seeing just how bad their position is.

2) Again, I agree. When you are lost, you are lost. I've played many players that follow the "never resign" mantra. True that most players probably resign too early, but this is the extreme in the other direction. Save both of you the time and effort if the winner is clear already. 

3) lol - as if a real cheater would set such a trap. Real cheaters usually use obscure sidelines, but avoid mainlines and book traps; there is simply too great a chance that the opponent will find the correct moves from theory. 

4) If they set a time control, then you should expect to play out the entire time. On chess.com I almost never use delay or increment because the game could go on for much longer than expected. However, if that is the time control, then they should abide by it and certainly not criticize you using the time that you have allotted to yourself.

A couple more:

• The one who gloats in the chat when you make a blunder and are going to lose the game in the next few moves. Quite an unsportsmanlike conduct.
• The one who does the offers-a-draw-in-a-clearly-lost-game one above, and argues in the chat that "it's just an unrated game, it doesn't matter". (If it doesn't matter, why not simply resign? After all, it's an unrated game.)
• The malicious sandbagger: Someone who gets a rating significantly lower than his actual rating (eg. he is like 1800, but deliberately gets a rating of 800 or so) and then starts playing rated games against people with much higher rating to vandalize their rating (eg. he gets a rating of like 800, and starts playing rated games against people rated 1300 or so, and proceeds to beat them). This is against the site rules, but of course that doesn't stop people from doing it.
• The one who immediately aborts a game after it has started, perhaps because your rating is too low (if you start a new game, set the opponent rating range to your liking, for heavens sake.)
• Not really "the most annoying type", but the one who offers a rematch after a game, but can't wait for 2 seconds for you to accept.

people who spam draw offers when they're lower rated than you

or just spamming draw offers in general. If the position is dead drawn, okay perhaps one or two offers, but if they decline both, then just prepare to force a draw or flag them.

For most of them I would agree, but for the one that keeps playing in a lost position, it could depend on rating. In lower levels it wouldn't be as bad, since they are striving for the best, and in that level unexpected events can happen even when one player is clearly about to win. But if he or she is playing in a higher level, it would be clear that no such comeback can happen and it would be more polite to resign earlier.

At least chess.com provides you the option to ignore all further draw requests. Probably added exactly because of this.

This is really getting annoying. Can't people really wait for three seconds for the other person to have the time to click on the "accept" button? This just happens again and again.

**The person who INSISTS on trading queens.

**The person that kicks your butt then won't give you a rematch.

**The person who plays super fast moves even though they are playing rapid......usually their queen.  See annoyance #1

** And yes of course....the person who offers you a draw when they are down 20 points in material.

**The person who takes their entire 24 hours to make a move in a Daily game.
