i really love endgame study so i would like something like pice endings % (i.e # of  king&pawns vs King&Pawns, King&Rock vs King&Pawns, etc)
TheRealThreat

How about:

Avg. opponent rating when played as White and as Black.

how about a stat that deals with how often you accept challenges. i try to accept all challenges so i would have a high percentage. and maybe how many times you have been challenged. and maybe something that deals with how often you accept challenges pertaining to a specific rating.

you don't mean opening stats for each user, visible to all? if that's the case, i wouldn't agree. yes, our games are public, but if an opponent wants to book-up on you, then make them do the leg-work by manually looking at your games. i don't think you meant it this way, though, right?

I've been going to ask about this for a while:

At http://www.chess.com/echess/players.html we can see a graph showing the rating distribution for all members - this is very interesting but I have one concern.  As time goes on I expect a number of members to drop out of the site, I also expect that weaker players are more likely to drop out than stronger ones (I may be wrong but that's my assumption).  If all historical members are counted in the distribution graph then I'm expecting that the distribution will move to the left (downwards) - but this won't really reflect the membership of the site any more.  I'm no statistician but I think I'm right - & would be glad to hear others' views?

Or maybe you already take lapsed members into account?

A suggestion - when you look at all members you can sort by number of games, rating etc.  & you can search for yourself (or anyone else) but it can be difficult to see where you are in relation to the other players.

E.G.  I sorted by number of games played & saw that the most number of games played is several hundred.  I on the other hand have very little time to play so I've only played 28 games - I'd be interested to know if that makes me averagely active, more so or less so - but when I page through screens I soon lose interest in trying to find myself (from either end of the list).  Maybe an option to go straight to a page?

Not too important but would be as minor improvement I think.  Cheers, Chris
