"I didn't yell, and I didn't swear, but I did decline a post-game analysis and I will never choose to play that individual again."

With 50,000 members you are really limiting yourself there!

What about a new feedback system that would allow everyone to leave his comment about the correctenes of players after every game, so that it would be possible to avoid non-reliable contenders?

jkor -- I don't want to be responsible for ratting people out. Especially if I have to leave a public comment that other people are supposed to judge a user on. I would much prefer an automatic system where certain behvior (such as timeouts) resulted in some kind of negative incentive. I would also like to have a noplay list so that I could avoid particular players.

My spin is that one should in theory never give up, because "it aint over 'till it's over." Of course I don't advocate the unsportman like conduct that is mentioned, but just #itch and moan untill the job is done.

Well, I really don't know if such a feedback-system could be branded as a way of "ratting people out", expecially if you don't intend it to be obligatory. But maybe you're right.

If they go on holiday, that stops all their games, right?  So they are de facto quitting if they refuse to finish the game.  There ought to be a special case of time control to wrap it up.

I do hope this is not a big problem here.

No more so than anywhere else, PawnFork.  Most people are great although, of course, occasionally you get somebody who's not.  Once you've identified them you can refuse further challenges.

I had a rant about it early in this thread but have since become more comfortable about the situation.  People are people and, overwhelmingly, this is the friendliest site I've ever played on.
