So I'll tell a story of mine. I played chaturaji(chess variant) for just some fun(I'm 1900 there) and I saw a Russian kid swearing 🤬 in the chat. Since my native country is bordering Russia I knew Russian pretty well especially swear words and I had to talk to him like a Russian to a Russian with a swear word every sentence. For some unlucky God Damn reason the third guy joined the conversation so it was 2v1. They asked to go to discord or whatsapp, I took their rook for you to know well I was screw you, won and walked shamelessly out of the lobby

Oh yes many times. I disabled chat, which is also such a shame since I did have many nice chats as well before. But lately all the chats were just only people trash talking and insulting.

Nah alot don't have an ego a good chunk do that's more personality you see stuff like that in a lot of sports it's just more obvious in chess
