Online Cash Chess League
Chess is a difficult game to have online cash games for. Because cheating. Even if you're lucky enough to not have a single cheater, you'll still have people accusing each other and angry at the organizer for not doing anything about it, and that's true even when money isn't on the line. That said, I'm rooting for it to go smoothly.

100% agree with everything you said here! That being said I have been hosting large scale tournaments for a few years now (Our largest having 1,100 members joining). During this time we were able to find many ways to limit cheaters along with being able to catch them. With it being a blitz time control and a league format as well hopefully this id mitigated as much as possible. As you said though hopefully it goes smoothly!!
I would be interested! I recommend you make it similar to the blitz and bullet leagues that used to be really popular. I have really fond memories of the teams I used to be on in the blitz leagues, it was really fun.

In that case you sound pretty well prepared to run a tournament like this. Best of luck!

We’re keeping some of those things the same but changing the variable time controls NSPBCL used to have, as well as adding prizes. Moon was also playing in some of those leagues a few years back
Why would that be a "good" idea at all?
You're putting yourself in a very hot seat should anyone ever have legitimate fraud claims against you; so how will it be paid for, if not by player entry fee? How will it be regulated and monitored to ensure fair play?
Surely, you're not so blindly faithful in humans that they wouldn't "fenagle" their odds to be "more" equal than the competition?...... but they would only ever do that for money... never online for fun or anything like that......
wait.
Hey everyone,
I am going to go through with what ive been debating about for a long while. which is hosting an online chess league. However with cash prizes. This will be my first time hosting one of these but if you're interested shoot me a dm or comment on this post.
