On the verge of going premium!.
For me, it's a lot about supporting a good cause, but to be honest, I think I'd pay the ticket price for a Gold membership just to kill the ads.
Full stats (for my own past games) is really great, and the fact that vacation turns on automatically if it looks like you're going to time out saved my bacon once in a one-move-per-day game I was playing. Those are the most important premium features for me--although I suspect I'm also going to value unlimited access to the Games Explorer when that is debuted as well.

I absolutely agre with DeepGreene, it is about supporting a good cause. Erik has put his personal savings into this, so it is a good feeling to know that you are helping him out.
So, DeepGreene...when vacation kicked on automatically, did that save your CANADIAN bacon? Man, was that cheesy...!
Mmmmm... cheeeesy Canadian baaaaacon.. lol. That was bad. ;-)
I agree with DeepGreene, I feel like I found a home here and wanted to show my support so I paid for a membership. The benefits of losing the ads and getting unlimited use of the tactics trainer, just to name a couple, is a wonderful bonus.
I have been toying with the idea of upgrading my membership. I have a Gold one now, so I will wait for the year to be up and decide if upgrading to a lifetime is personally worth it to me or just to continue purchasing the gold.
Regardless of what you choose, it is great that you want to show your support.
Hello chess.com!!!
For the first time since premium statuses were released, I am seriously considering becoming gold. I have a few questions that are holding me back:
etc.
Hopefully #1 can be answered, because it is the biggest roadblock.
All you already-premiums can hopefully give me more reasons than the ones I have to go gold, and give a few reviews of the premium site.
Thank you!
