We have had favourite opening as white, but how about favourite counter to 1.e4? 1...e5, 1...d5, 1...c5, 1...g6 etc...

How about how many would like to see online tournaments say maybe two or three times a year? Speaking of that our online group is having a tournament this coming Sunday. Invite your friends and register at chess_team.

(a) I could give this game up cold turkey if I wanted
(b) I'd make a smooth transition within two weeks
(c) it would be tough but within a month or so I'd get over it
(d) I'd need some type of support group to deal with my withdrawal and depression.

I would have a hard time answering because people mean different things when they say "openings" and "familiar with". A slight mprovement might be, "How many opening systems do you know well enough to play them with confidence?"
