Bloody hell! LOL! I just went on vacation and I had to take my laptop with me and hope that the hotels had wireless internet so I could make my moves on all my games ( which luckily they all did ). I am glad that there is vacation time now. Thanks Erik!

ok. if 20 days isn't enough we can add more i guess :) but yeah, i don't know any americans who go anywhere for more than TWO days without internet connection ;)
Yeah, keep in mind you could still take 35 days of vacation (from your job), and still only NEED 20 days of vacation time on chess.com. Since most games you have 3 days to make a move as it is, as long as you find gaps in your vacations throughout the year to sit down at a computer for a few minutes and make some chess moves. :)

So do we get 2 days of vacation a month? That would be nice. Instead of a block 20 a year.
you can turn vacation on and off as you wish! you can use it in whatever chunks you want.

I agree with AlecKeen. The allowance for vacation days should be 35. Or even 42. What we do here isn't work.

i'm having trouble with the vacation feature. my settings were set to be on vacation, but when i got back, i had lost all but two of my in-progress matches. i had about 9 games in progress.
does anybody have any idea about what i can do to correct that? i was in good position in most of my matches and was even close to mate in one of them.
i am more than just a little dissapointed with the vacation feature.

Hey everyone! Now you won't lose your games if you go out of town! Everyone gets 20 days of vacation per year. Just go here: Email Chess Settings and you can "Go on vacation" which will pause your games! Let me know if you have any questions on it! :)
