I agree it is tastfully done..and adds to the website's visual appeal.
I think the images with glass chess pieces on the homepage edges look excellent.Its brilliant that you partnered with chessmaster; its win/win for everyone.

Oops I think I just posted on the duplicated thread in general.. Anyway, the advert is great, fits in really well with the design of the site, and well, it got me to buy it anyway.

Even if the site stops advertising Chessmaster, you should keep the design!
You should really think about adding more cool background designs on frequently visited areas of the site. !
