My ratings are not correct on my profile page?

My bullet rating is showing as 381 when it is 780 and my rapid and blitz rating are a few hundred higher than they should be (the highest rating is my actual rating, I'm at my peak at everything because I am trying to recover from my old rating)

Why is this happening? When I go in a game with someone it shows my rating is what it actually is (900 rapid)

I've been experiencing this as well, most recently today. I completed a couple games this evening, ending with a rapid rating of 1168, and found that my profile page said that my rapid rating was 510. As with the previous instances of this issue, it corrected itself within half an hour.

In reading threads about this issue, I've seen "the system takes some time to update" offered as an explanation, but this isn't consistent with what I've observed. It implies that the incorrect rating being displayed is a valid previous rating that just hasn't updated to the most recent rating yet. However, my rapid rating has never been 510, so it's not merely a failure to update immediately; it's displaying invalid data.

One friend profile shows his “lightening” rating, the rest of friends show “normal” rating. How does he default to showing normal rating or does it default to showing highest rating?

Sorry, using the wrong terminology. By normal I meant Rapid and lightening I meant Blitz.

If you mean the popup thing when you click on someone's username, it seems to show one's highest rating, including default starting ratings in time controls that one's never actually played. If several ratings are equal, I think the precedence goes: daily > rapid > blitz > bullet. At least, when I was first starting out, mine started showing daily as soon as I'd lost some rapid games and lowered my rapid rating below my account's default starting rating.
