I am horrified that my name hasn't been mentioned! Not only am I a desperately keen chess player but my love of orange squash is known through out the island,so much so that my orange complexion has been noted by colleagues and has been commented upon in the local press even!
May I suggest one note of caution, why is King William in 3rd place? Do NOT be taken in by his fine words, he is a SA rugby supporter and they can not be trusted!! Whereas we in Wales(particularly in the north) arere renowned for our sense of fair play and gentlemanly behavior!

I think jonnyp should be the member of the year becouse he's atending jcc to become a teacher and he really loves reading aboute chess and playing chess. I don't now if he likes squash but he's a good big brother.

I think the member of the year award has to go to Lenny_Bongcloud, anyone who tries to win a game of chess using just the king deserves such an accolade. 
No Mad_dog 96. You should be member of the year. Anyone that simultaneously has interest in history, politics, music, drinking and the bedroom tango deserve the title!
I love Bill Wall, because he's googd looking, plus, he is a very clever man who is happy to help all the members on this site with much'o advice, but I agree with tekn0c4t,,,,,,,,,, Bill cant win Stacey, because he did not nominate himself nor did he write anything that was remotely silly or cheesy. (which were the committe's rules, (the commitee being you of course))......I doubt he is ever capable of being as daft as us lot. So please, pretty please, you will have to reconsider. (and could you hurry up, otherwise the squash will go off).
I am trying to squash this. Queenie is right (and she meant Google looking, not good looking - a typo). I did not nominate myself and did not write anything cheesy (neither Swiss, American, or chedder). Daft - meaning silly or foolish (hope not), insane or crazy (possibly), gay (no). And to techn0c4t (who is really Pope Benedict XVI) of Vatican City, you are right. You never have heard of me. I am Protestant. Or at least my family history since the 1500s. And I haven't heard of you until John Paul II died. You may have never seen my posts, they are so rare. Not many blogs, not too many articles, some chesspedia contributions (under 1,000), a download game or two, a few chess art pictures, a few games of chess, and that's it. And Erik was just kidding. It's his way of getting me to contribute more. I've been lax lately, just getting back from Fischer's funeral.
