OH GROW UP people... Erik is working at a million miles an hour here... I've seen the effort this guy puts into his work... and I promise you he isn't making much cash... especially being that neither of you are even CUSTOMERS.
No offense intended by any means but you guys are terrible... think about what you say before you complain about this site...
And frankly, if you still have a problem... get lost... there are other sites out there and I promise you none of them are as good... perhaps you'll learn and come back as better natured people!

i agree with ih8sens. You shouldnt complain when you know Erik has live chess in the top of things to do. You REALLY shouldnt be complaining because you havent helped him in anyway. . .

More to the point: you don't get the privilege of complaining about customer service if you aren't even a customer.
I also second what ih8sens says this site is outstanding and what Erik and team have been able to pull off with what amounts to a skeleton crew in terms of staff is more than impressive. Bottom line is that live chess, along with many of the other features here, is free -- I think there's a saying somewhere about a gift horse....

What got my goat a little was Erik being big enough to even suggest using an opposing site if one really felt it warrants it (i dont) while he creates something other sites will no doubt want fer themselves; while ye seemed to imply he was giving crap customer service. It was yer comment, not Custards that brought the remarks ;)
Yes, we are all customers, even if not a paying member. Because each non paying member is a potential paying member. That is why erik respects the view of everyone, paying and not, and addresses the concerns and questions of members, paying and not.

General Custard - a shot of Jager for your bitterness and to sooth the upset of disconnects (no one likes it, don't worry, won't happen soon - good thing it's just a game, eh?). For my friend Ih8sens, a rum and coke. Two shots of whiskey for firestare500. And my friend TheGrobe, what was it we drank last time we were out, you had a stella, right?

Cheers fer that Rael, i must admit im partial to anthing drinkable, ill sure make a good stab at Canada fer ye! Beer tends to bloat me whcih is rarely pretty and there isnt much demand fer bouncey castles these days,so i tend to try and stick to a nice red wine or sambuca or vodka surprise. The surpirise is always the same, when the bottle runs out and i have a headache the next day :s
Anyone know if all the games on live chess are Blitz? I couldn't find any beginner games.

Croc, ye can choose different time lengths fer yer games ye play there.
Quick, Blitz and Long
Quick i think is under 2 mins.
Blitz is over 2 mins to 5 mins i thihnk?
Long is over 5 mins i think.
In terms of beginning, ye can specifiy different rating levels ye wish to play to best match ye to someone ye would like. All this is done by choosing "create seek"

pistoleer, a 10 min game with no time bonus is still considered a blitz game... and im not defending generalcustard but i think he kinda wanted a rough date of when they were planning on releasing it. Not right now he complained about problems the staff knows about but I no im not always rational when it comes to anger and the way i deal with it =P

When will the full fault free version of live chess finally be up and running?? It's getting annoying the way it : 1. randomly disconnects
2. opponent's clock seems very slow to tick sometimes
3. freezes for several seconds at a time (this could be my computer, but it's pretty new so I'm not sure)
