HEY!

Yeah I used to play chess all the time, and recently started again. I'm really not that good at all, so I came on here to find people who are willing to help me learn or learn along with me. I never really studied chess and I'm really bad at pre-determining moves, openings, best moves, etc. I just can't think that hard yet. Anyone else out there the same? Let me know!

Any advice on where to start to get better would help!

Thanks!

The chess mentor program on this site really helps.   Also it helps to change the settings while you play games to show the grid of letters and numbers.  I try to make notes to myself in the "chess language"   about what my next moves will be.  At first it made my head spin but after awhile (and it's still coming to me)  the language becomes less foreign and you'll start to actually be able to follow.   I've been playing on this site for a couple months and it has everything you need- just start exploring some of the features you're not using.  The puzzles in "chess mentor"  cover everything you're looking for.  BTW  I can't think that hard either so don't forget to stop doing puzzles when your brain hurts.
