Have you tried "Battle Mode" Animation style?

We added a little fun idea this week: Battle Mode. It was mostly added for kids on ChessKid, but thought some members on Chess.com would like it too. I've been using it and it's actually kind of interesting!

Fun idea. It might be ideal for blitz or bullet chess! 

It's good to watch 1-2 times! Enjoying! But, not for always... It's destracting.

I use Slow. I always replay the game before making my move. Slow gives me a little bit time to understand each move.

Very Slow will be more helpful, if you're planning for so!

Why doesnt the king explode when I checkmate it?

I cant see things exploding and smoke coming out when I premove

It looks like V3 is a much more flexible platform, that makes it much easier for you guys try things .

I think it would be more fun to have several different animations, and each time a piece is captured one of the animations is chosen at random. With just one animation, it becomes repetitive very quickly.

Just reminded me of this great DOS classic from the late 80s! Such great animations. I think I remember the king would hug the queen before killing her, and the rook would eat people. Some fun gameplay vids on youtube.
