Features and Fixes - April 17th 2008

We released a few features and bug fixes today! We hope you like them :)

Conditional Moves: you can now add conditional moves to your games! after you make a move you can return to that page to set up conditional moves that will automatically be played if triggered by your opponent's move. 

Referrals: you can now see your referrals on your homepage in a link above your STATUS. you can click on the number and see who your referrals are.

Content/Comment Spacing: if you do a hard refresh (control+R) you will notice that content is spaced better between paragraphs in content and comments :)

Chess Mentor Hint Box: increased size 

Vote Chess Tracking: fixed some irritating bugs around tracking votechess games.

Rollover Chessboards: improved the rollover chessboards and added them to tournament pairings.

... and some big news is that we pushed a bunch of code that is in preparation for the opening/game explorer!

As always, BIG WELL DONE Guys for a great site ad all the work and time you all put into it.

Fantastic stuff, I've already started using conditional moves, and it's another incentive to buy a premium membership, which I'm seriously considering now. I may save up and get the diamond one, so I'll never have to do it again.

I remember raising some of the problems about the tracking of vote chess games, great to see that's all sorted. So what is the solution - where does the appropriate alert appear?

 Absolutely!  Couldn't have said it better myself...and especially appreciate the note detailing all that has been updated -- great!  Excellent excellent job to the entire staff of Chess.com

On the membership page, it says that the use of Game Explorer for Basic Members is "Limited". How exactly is it limited?

I'm probably going to buy a Gold or Platinum Membership after the release of Game Explorer. If I buy Platinum, I'll be able to make my friend a Gold for free, for as long as I keep my membership.
