Email Alert of Moves

Sort:

Has this feature been discontinued?  Although I have it selected as being turned on, it stopped sending email alerts several weeks ago...something perhaps associated with the upgrade?

Do miss it!  Without it, have to continually log in to see if  action is on my side...

My e-mail alerts have also not been so reliable over the past two weeks or so.  Before then, they were very reliable.

it all depends on your email provider! who are you using? yahoo? hotmail? we're working hard to make sure email alerts are received, but email providers are very quick to say SPAM on email :) anyone else?

Using Microsoft Outlook but you may be right - I'll check the spam filter!  Thanks for the reply...

also, you will NOT receive email alerts if you are actively ONLINE on the site (meaning you have visited a page in the last 10 minutes)

uh... i use yahoo, and it was fine until about 2 or 3 weeks ago too. i checked my spam folder and trash folder, and the alerts arent getting put in there. i dont know... it seems like they arent arriving at all.
my personal filters arent blocking it either, and i just set it to never label chess.com stuff as spam... we will see if that works, but i really dont think they are coming, because my spam folder keeps messages for about a week before automatically deleting--so if i was getting them there i should be able to find them

it isn't working even when you add "@chess.com" to the safe sender's list? hrmmmmm.....

Ok, it's a miracle...had not yet touched the spam filter and suddenly, the email alerts have recommenced...

My email account stems from an .edu address (an educational institution).  Over the past three days, I have started to receive the alerts again as well.  Maybe the problem was connected indirectly with the recent general maintenance efforts on chess.com.  Anyway, I am happy that the alerts are coming again.

mine are coming in again now too... which is handy!
