 I have just joined the site today. I must say it is very good. I have played at several turn based chess sites, but this is the best.

Much better even than [edit] another site, which was my favourite until I discovered this place. Well done to Erik and the team!

I see you 'edited' out the name of the other site I liked :-)  Now I might just suspect that you didn't want competition. Anyway, as I say, your place is a lot better and has many more features. Thanks again.

 we do this for 2 reasons: to not allow for competive comparing or advertising on our site, but to also prevent people from bashing other sites. it is a matter of respect, not squelching competition. most people here have played chess on many websites, myself included :)

 I'm actually glad you do this... I saw this post before it was edited, so I know what site is being reffered to, and after having played there quite literally for years and being treated very poorly, my tendancy is to bash them (see? I can't help it, I still did it).
