Benefit of chess club membership unclear

Now and then, I receive some, what seems randomly generated, invitations to join “chess clubs”. But what does being a member of a chess club bring me that I can’t already do?

It will depend on the club and your interests. Some play matches or Vote Chess. Some have internal club live tournaments. There are discussion oriented clubs, variants clubs, etc
Sorry, i am not convinced. I already have tournaments, chess variants, discussion forums and puzzles. There has to be something else to persuade me.
