Anyone tried Chess Mentor yet?
by the way, there is a TON of endgame stuff in there for you :)
It was one of the hardest things for me to build, because every time I'd go to work on something, I'd get sidetracked actually playing through the lessons. They are very fun. I love the helpful feedback on wrong moves, knowing they are coming from GMs and other strong players like Craig Marr.
It strikes me that this is the same as a software that was released many years ago, but now it has a slick new chess.com wrapping. Care to give us the low down on your relationship with the previous company (you've bought the rights to this, or what?). Are all the lessons the same, or are there new lessons as well as a new interface?
By the way, if anyone hasn't tried the chessmentor, it's pretty good. And the chess.com interface is definitely an upgrade from the old school one.

Loomis, why are you always tearing chess.com down in your posts? This is the best chess site around period. I'd think you should reconsider your negative attitude and change your mind to...gratitude.
I'd love to try it but all i get is white and the status bar says "done", same thing when I try to check new comments at this url www.chess.com/home/#new_comments
Anyone else have problems?
i was a bit skeptical at first, but i actually really like it. ive been on it for the past 3 hours and just upgraded, so you could say im hooked.
ill let you know in a month if it improved my game:>

great questions Loomis. we bought that company (along with Chess.com) and they are now under a single company (Chess.com, LLC). my latest post in the NEWS section answers this a little bit more.
currently the lessons are all original, but i can say that we have at least 5 new authors working on content (including 2 GMs!). we expect to release new content every single month.
Has anyone tried our new product - Chess Mentor yet? :)
