2024 Chess.com Bughouse Championship: Official Discussion Thread

2024 Chess.com Community Championships series returns with its fourth event of the year: With an increased $7,500 prize fund, the Chess.com Bughouse Championship is set to happen August 19-23, with the certainty of bringing overpower teamed up combinations and mind-boggling chess pieces pandemonium.

Every day from August 19 till 22 there will be two qualifier arenas, with the eight winning teams advancing to the double-elimination Knockout bracket live Finals on August 23, but now with a twist! Matches will feature a countdown clock format, and teams will need a two-point advantage to win the match. So get ready for some sacrificial attacks and quick piece placement checkmates! 🪲

The qualifiers are open to all players, but only players who team up with the same partner throughout the entire arena can qualify for the Finals. To partner with a single teammate and be eligible for qualification, please follow the instructions in this article after joining the arena.
