#1 peeve
correct. also, I like reviewing my losses.
i hate it when i get beat & the opposing player doesn't tell me when or why i lost.
I would offer this information if and only if it was specifically requested.
i learned to play a long time ago; until fairly recently there was no such thing as a GA forum.
I am not sure why you would get upset with someone for not telling you why you lost unless you asked for their advice and they refused. I would gladly offer any advice to my opponent after a game if he asked, but to just assume he wants to know why he lost and pointing it out to him can cause some ill feelings if he thinks you are just being a jerk.

Did you ask them to help you?
yes, which why i'm better then i used to be. i guess my real complaint is watching someone else lose, and the winner does nothing but laugh/

yes, & i'm better for it; my peeve concerns winners who simply gloat, & then challenge u to another game- i.e., it's all about demonstrating superiority & has nothing to do w/developing better opponents,
u review it anyway, i assume. I feel uncomfortable losing also, but i want to know why and WHEN the crucial error occured.

That's not what you said at first-say what you mean. I have not encountered anyone on this site who has gloated afterward and I believe I have upward of forty losses.

it's only my opinion, but acting like a jerk actually makes ur opponents better; they'll even read books so they can give u ur due

i'm not talking about this site- i'm talking OTB. remember (or learn) i'm before computers playing chess
i know, but i could get that same info from a computer. i want to know where/when the victor thinks i lost it.
yeah I know what you're saying. I was playing someone who forked me and I just said, "nice move". He somehow took that the wrong way, and started "yelling" at me. I don't have a problem with talking about the game, it's when people say things like "great move moron" that are unnessecary but make a win sooo much better :-P
