Drop Rule set up Chess

I don't know if its been mentioned before but what do you guys think about instead of beginning the game instead of having the standard set up the boards blank, white drops the first piece and it goes in turn until all 32 pieces and pawns are set then the game begins. Another augmentation would be when to start the clocks, at move 1 of the drop phase, move 1 of the game phase or both with either total time or seperate.

Id imagine that could take up quite a lot of time to be honest

I shall and imagine it would, but I like the blend of go stredgy (where games can take upwards of four hours to play) with chess tactics as well as the demand of insight it markely makes on the players who could theoretically lose the game all in the placement phase ^^

So you have a checkmate possibility before the game begins?

Stinetuck

no check or checkmate can be declared until move 33 (first move of game phase) but yes, it is possible to win if they f^ck up on thier set up so literally by placing your armies you build your own tactics and position then devulope on the stregies and tactics in the play

(and just because its not declared doesnt mean you cant set it up, though then again that could be an interest twist, i mean if you position an attack you dont have to wait for the rest of the army, maybe we'll call that quick mate, when checkmate appears in the drop phase)
