Who is the chess Mango?
I was thinking a more human player though. Nakamura, maybe?
You are looking for the best chess player of all time, and you name Nakamura? That's bizarre.

Not necessarily the best, just the one most comparable to Mango.
Mango, also known as Joseph Marquez, is a prominent Super Smash Bros. Melee player. His aggressive, mixup-oriented playstyle sets him apart, earning him the title of “Melee’s protagonist”. Mango’s complex mind games, optimized punishes, and technical ability have left an indelible mark on the competitive scene. If you’re intrigued by the intersection of chess and gaming, you might enjoy exploring how Mango’s approach in Melee has a counterpart in the world of chess

Copyleaked.
If you wanted to know this, how does the Mario in Super Smash Bros plays chess?
I'm confused, could you rephrase that?
Yes, as in "Who, as a chess player, is most comparable to Mango as either a player or as a person with emphasis on the former?"
What about Paul Morphy?
Not entirely bad, since both were exceptional players who played aggressively and eventually lost the motivation to play later in their career (i.e. Mango's sandbagging at GENESIS 9 in order to, and I'm 100% serious when I say this, watch a Philadelphia Eagles game), but there are still very key differences between the two that leads me to believe there may be a closer comparison to Mango.
Mango (sometimes stylized as Mang0, ManGOAT among his supporters, and Scorpion Master while playing Mario), real name Joseph Marquez, is perhaps the best Super Smash Bros. Melee player of all time. Anyone familiar with him can easily recognize him from his playstyle, as he plays a hyperaggressive, mixup and mindgame-oriented offensive playstyle that no other player has been able to imitate due to his complex mindgames, optimized punish, and technical ability, earning his title as "Melee's protagonist".
He is well known for his usage of many characters, beginning his career as, and becoming the best player in the world with Jigglypuff. Over time, he dropped Jigglypuff for Fox, and then began to co-main Fox with Falco, the latter two are characters at which he is the best ever at. When he was temporarily banned online, he adopted the pseudonym Scorpion Master and became the best Mario player of all time. He has even defeated former Captain Falcon main Hax$ (who has since moved on to Fox) with Falcon, with one method of taking a stock (a 'life' of which you are given four per game) famously being walking up and unleashing a 19-frame (317 milliseconds, more than react-able) kill move.
Mango holds the distinction of having earned more than three hundred thousand dollars in winnings from Melee tournaments, more so than any other player. Many of Melee as a whole's best plays have been Mango's.
