Tyler1 is the goat.

Tyler1 levels up too fast in any video games. Bro is disrespecting so many people that are still hardstuck at a certain elo range between 100-1000. His peak is 1149 before tilting back to 1000, which is still incredible. That's still better than so many chess players. And 2000+ elo for puzzles? That's insane coming from a new player that just started one month ago.

SkalAsura

You can argue that you are better at chess, but seriously. If he puts his mind into it, he probably can get 2000 in a few years (my estimation if he continues what he is doing, 2 years or shorter).

OnlyForValentinax

Nah but 2000 in a yr is manageable. I started in 2021 nov and by 2023 march i managed to hit 2200 blitz. But there is a lot of grinding though

True.

SkalAsura

It's how much effort one is going to put to improve themselves instead of just blindly playing and not learning from their mistakes.

dang and I thought going from 300 elo to 1500+ in 9 months was good

It's still good though.

SkalAsura

Some people are still hardstuck at 400 elo.

He didn't start a month ago, he has been playing chess before

U r an teen and he is adult Thats the difference. Not all adult improve like him

PromisingPawns

All? Rarely does an adult improve like him. Mostly because they have responsibilities. As I enter into my 20s I can understand how responsibility changes a boy from a man.

vinaxelius

Tbf, he has played more chess since July last year than most people play in a lifetime. Even as a kid I wouldn't have the time to play as much as he does

I've looked thru a few of these games. He's clearly pretty sharp but he plays a very ooga form of chess, which makes sense since I doubt he studies a lot, just does a ton of puzzles and plays a ton of games. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not enough on its own to hit 2000

@vinaxelius bruh. You’re 1500. don’t try to advice tyler, he knows what he’s doing, it’s definitely not the optimal strategy but it’s good enough for him. And if you knew how to get to 2k, why aren’t you there yet??

My guy, I started playing chess around the same time as Tyler, and I can't play consistently as I'm at university. I'm also an adult which automatically makes it harder to improve, and I can't afford a premium membership or courses or anything like that. Please don't come at me for my progress.

I was just only my opinion as to where he's at in his chess. Hitting 1700 in less than a year is incredibly impressive for an adult, but I'm not sure how far without studying openings and such, but who's to say. He might be 2500 next year for all I know
