If you can challenge any titled player (living or dead) in a chess match, who would it be?

@Rustedlongsword Well, if you just want to chat with some chess master like Gothamchess instead of playing against them, then that's okay too.

ChimpCh

@PrinceSkywalker, why do you think he is boring?

@Prince_Skywalker I have to agree with you Gothamchess does look like a nerd.

@Prince_Skywalker How do you feel about Hikaru?

Armatise

He is another popular streamer besides Gothamchess.

No I Do not think so
Hikaru only play good chess not playing the egg for example as Levy
onlyC6

If it's OTB:

World champion: Vishy Anand

Male player: Fabiano Caruana

Female player: Lei Tingjie

Online: Magnus

onlyC6

Online I would play the best player possible, but OTB I prefer others, because Magnus would maybe show up late, crush me and just leave. The others I mentioned are great players as well and they seem nice enough to talk to me after the game and maybe give some tips or answer some questionswink.png

CavanPawn

Akiba Rubenstein

His play was Chess as art!

Armatise

@onlyC6 that is some strategic planning you have there. I would probably do the same thing as well.

Armatise

@CavanPawn Akiba Rubenstein is another great chess player to challenge against. He was considered one of the most legendary chess players to never have become a World Chess Champion. He should have because his positional play often squeezed his opponents and his endgame tactics pulverized them as well.

Armatise

Otherwise, Rubenstein was one of the top 5 best endgame players in chess history.

Armatise

@NewCapablancaSweden I agree with you. Hikaru is not as much of a nerd as Levy.
