I'm 1900something in turn based and a little under 1400 in blitz. I have no idea why this is. if it helps, my standard time control(I play 25 minutes 5 sec increments) is 1600something. I just assumed that the more time I can think, the better I play.
I don't understand why I can be rated 1644 in turn-based chess but only be 1155 in live, and I struggle to hold that much. It just seems like the players are so much easier in turn-based chess. I know that for some of you 1644 is still low, but for an amateur me, I feel like I'm floating in the stratosphere of the chess elite.
Is it normal for there to be that big a difference between turn-based and live?
Note: I take full advantage of the analysis board in turn-based.
