Student-teachers program

Here is a story about Jerry Nash who created a three-day program at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. The Student-teachers program will be used to show new teachers the fundamentals of chess so that it can be passed on to students once they start teaching.

This looks like a very promising and rewarding program for everyone involved. I hope to see this program become popularized in other regions in the future.

I met Jerry not too long at a scholastic tournament while my students were about to enter their next round, he's an outgoing and driven individual.  A former teacher [prior to joining USCF] he is an extremely hard-working and driven individual which all USCF members should be glad our federation has!
