Please can you keep me updated with other tournaments for all types of members though? 

 The pairing will not be ramdomly. Players will be sorted by rating and then The pairing will be the first half vs the second half. And the player with the higher rating will play with the black pieces.

To make that clear let's put an example:

Player A - 2000

Player B - 1900

Player C - 1800

Player D - 1700

 The games will be

Game 1: Player C (with white) vs Player A (with black)

Game 2: Player D (with white) vs. Player B (with black) 

Now let's assume that those two games ended as follow:

Game 1: 0-1

Game 2: 0-1

The game 3 will be then Player B (with white) vs. Player A (with black)

because player A has the higher rating.

If the games were ended as follow:

Game 1: 1-0

Game 2: 0-1 

Then game 3 will be: Player C (with white) vs. Player B (with black).

It is clear for everyone?

These are the rules, please read it carefully!!!! 

CHESS.COM Knockout tournament

Rules

1. This is a sigle elimination tournament. You lose your game, and you’re out
2. Pairings were made by rating
3. The player with the higher rating will play black on round 1
4. In the next round every player will be switching colors
5. In case of color coincidence, then the player with the higher rating will play as black
6. In case of a draw, there will be a rematch with switched colors. If there is a draw again, then the player with the lower rating will qualify for the next round.
7. All games are rated
8. Time control is 3 days per move
9. The White players must send the match request. The game name must be “Knockout Tournament Round #”
10. The White players will have three days to send the match request. IF they fail to do so, then they will lose the game.
11. After the match is sent by the White players, the black players will have three days to accept it or they will automatically lose the game.
12. The winner will be awarded with a Free Gold Membership at chess.com
13. There will be no replacements or backup players. If anybody runs out of time or do not accept the game request within the time control his opponent will qualify automatically for the next round.
14. Everytime a game is finished one of the players must post the result in the tournament’s forum topic. The result then will be checked by me.
