Ask any chess-related question you like and I will answer it for you!

CoenJones

why does white go first??

and don't say I'm a noob, I just want to know why?

CoenJones

neither am I arguing that black should go first or that we should toss a coin

infinitebrainpower

When modern chess was created, people literally chose randomly before the game who would go first and that person would go first, whether he was white or black. This was in effect for London 1851. Eventually by 1857 white went first for all games.

CoenJones

ok, thank you very much, it has interested me for a long time

thunder_tiger123

are you really 2200? or are you lying. answer me on that!

macer75

What are your thoughts on the controversial Daeth opining?

macer75

Also, I thought I played really well in this game, but I still lost. Can u tell me what my blunders were (because honestly I don't see any), and how I can improve my game?

thunder_tiger123

obviously you made the game up, even a 1300 doesn't play like that...

hahaha troll, he still hasn't gotten back to anyone elses questions

dark_knightB

Black should have played 3...Qh4#

moving your f pawn and g pawn weakend the e1...h4 diagonal.

5. Ne4 is a blunder because 5...dxe4 should have been played capturing the knight.

8...Bxg4 loses a Bishop for a pawn.

17...Nxb4 wins the Queen.

You should study what the pieces are worth and tactics.   Also some basic opening strategy such as controlling the center, developing your pieces and castling to protect the king.

hope that helps to get you started in the right direction =)

CoenJones

oh wow, you honestly believe he played that

I'll send you the challenge, or do you want to send it to me?

I'm 1800 otb. If you can beat me, it'll prove you're better than me. but beating a 1200 is a piece of cake
