None of the above. All 3 are trash.

The Evans Gambit Declined is very strong.

White would have slight advantage and the position would transpose into Birds Attack which I really enjoy.

Evan's gambit doesn't exist.

It's called Evans.

The above line is the Evans Gambit.

White Gambits the b4 pawn to generate an attack.

If Black captures the b4 pawn, It is the Evans Gambit Accepted.

If Black doesn’t capture the b4 pawn, It is the Evans Gambit Declined.

———————————

Best play is for Black to capture the b4 pawn.

However, some players don’t like capturing because they don’t want to deal with being attacked.

If Black declines, The White line can transpose into 1 of my favorite lines which I played when I was a beginner.

The Italian Game: Birds Attack.

Same above position is reached playing normally.

The main move against 3…Bc5 is for White to play 4.c3. Than Black often follows up with 4…Nf6 attacking the undefended e4 pawn.

The main line move for White is to play 5.d3 defending the e4 pawn and that is the Classical way to play the position.

BUT White can play different move such as 5.b4 which counter attacks Blacks undefended Bishop on c5. This variation is known as Birds Attack!

And their you go

The Evans Gambit Declined & Birds Attack variation can Transpose.

White has slight advantage around 0.20 I believe.

The Ponziani & Danish don’t have any advantage.

The position is more equal.

Ponziani is more tactical and advantage should not always be based on computer/engine

You must be mixing up your lines because the Ponziani has no tactics.

The Ponziani line is a very sad line.

The Killer move 3…d5 is all Black has to do to gain equality and remove all of Whites tactics.

I think the Evans is probably best. While black has several ways to equalize the positions remain complex and unbalanced enough to be able to actively play for a win. Please note that you cannot force the Evans gambit. Moves like 3. .... Nf6 are perfectly legal too

The Ponziani is a close second, also leads to equal positions but not only is it harder for black to make mistakes black also has more options to direct play the way he likes.

The Danish is worst by a significant distance as black can equalize very easy and might even have an edge.

This is the line I play against the Ponziani and is quite tactical (black is at least equal)

Out of those three choices, I would pick the Evans.

I want to share chess game I had recently.

I play the Evan’s Gambit from time to time.

It is a nice miniature showing how things can get out of hand fast for Black.
