I forgot to kill the other knight, I hate knights, they are just bishop food.

But it doesn't seem I have enough turns to kill it hmmmmm

I need to do A6 before that other knight can do what you did.

and yet in the REAL WORLD, 3...f5 has THE BEST stats rated 1600-2000!

in fact, it is the ONLY reply that can legit claim to be WINNING

another gambit hater crashes into reality

it's not even about the stats for me. I hate the scandinavian or any other opening that allows the e5 cramp. gotta play 1...e5 to stop that. i'm NOT looking for draws, so screw the petroff. I don't want to get into long positional struggles either. rousseau is the most tactical answer for me. as a king's gambit player too, I'm already familiar with semi-open f files and knight plus Qh4+ dangers.

play the sicilian either narjorf or

Sveshnikov Sicilian

those are the only too non elosing sicilians play those if you want tactis

Mazetoskylo

The opening is extremely important at beginner/post beginner/amateur level: When you lose a game, you can blame it on the bad opening, and not your very poor play, and so keep your ego intact.

This might be more credible if you knew how to spell Najdorf. But that aside, such grand, sweeping statements about what is and isn't playable are all baloney at this level of play.

No it isn't I'm talking about otb chess not chess.com if you want to play if you have to play 30 minute time controls or more and I've played a lot of Sicilians otb and the nardorf or the shenekov are the best options to get a good game and don't make fun of my spelling I'm too lazy to correct it

The French irritates both White and Black. I play it from both sides of the board and would never think to say it's "fun" to play.

DrSpudnik

About any opening is playable.
