the fishing pole trap for black derives can derive from the ruy after white castles....i will post a move sequence once im not at work!

I dont understand - when you reach move 12 why doesn't black just reply fxe6?

 What about 10.Rxe7+ ? Wins the queen for a rook.

 I like this one because it takes advantage of the opponent's natural impulses to attack a "weak" piece and to move a threatened piece.

The Fishing Pole is horse pucky and can be postionally refuted by a well time sac of the b pawn to cut right across the whole foolish idea
