Roman videos
Really? I'd heard bad things about them. I'm not really good at learning from that type of thing, so I'm unlikely to buy any DVD for chess training, anyway. I'm more of a flash card/ puzzle learner.

Roman's DVD in my opinion are the most amazing chess training DVDs out in the market i personally have the whole collection only missing the opening encyclopidia ones which I will buy pretty soon, ofcourse it is not only about buying and watching the DVDs, you also have to do your own reaserches because it is clear that no GM can give you all possible varitions in any opening no matter how many DVDs he makes, you also need to make a choice from among the ideas he gives you in these DVDs and not just follow blindly everything he says, I really don't know what could be said bad about Roman's DVDs..
could you give some example of what it was commented to you?
I think someone told me that he spends most of the time on certain pet lines of whatever openings, but then just sort of makes an offhand remark like, "and obviously, this other line is inferior" without going into why. I haven't really looked at these DVD's, though, so I'm just going by something that I remember hearing at a tournament or something.
