Nice lines to attack the Dutch Defence

A new video is online for d4 players that struggle against the Dutch. I've put some nice attacking lines that some of you may find interesting. I also show some of my game that I played against Simon Williams OTB which ended in a decent position but I lost to the GM in the endgame when he had 2 rooks. and I only had 1.

Haha! Would never work against me! 1.d4 e6!! 2.c4 f5. After 2.Bg5??, 2...Qxg5.

If you don't want the Dutch after 1...e6, you'll have to play 2.e4, and then 2...d5 puts you in a KP opening!

Yea if the play e6 on the first move I just move Nc3. It usually leads into French positions.

Against 2.Nc3, I do play 2...Bb4 and if 3.e4, then 3...d5 is a Winawer. Only other move I get frequently with that move order is 3.Bf4, but with ...d5 not committed, I think that is weaker.

If Bb4 I usually go e4. If d5, e6 most common move I get in the Winawer is c5 then I just go a3 if Bxc3, bxc and get ready to move Qg4. However this is a French setup most Dutch players donโ€™t really want to do this.

Generally speaking, if a Dutch player plays 1...e6, they most likely are ones that also play the French against 1.e4, like myself. I actually have played the French for 29 years at this point.

Typically, if they don't play the French, they will play 1...f5.

As far as after 1.d4 e6 2.Nc3 Bb4 3.e4 d5 4.e5, I only play 4...c5 if my intention is to play the Portisch Hook (5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Qa5 7.Bb2 Qa4). If my intention is to play the Eingorin Variation (7...Kf8) or the Poisoned Pawn (7...Qc7, 8...Rg8, and 9...cxd4), I will play 4...Ne7 first and 6...c5 because it makes 5.Bd2 less desirable for White. After 4...Ne7 5.Bd2, Black has not moved the c-pawn yet and the d6-square is not weak.
