multiple openings?

Would it be be official to learn multiple openings I have been playing the ruy Lopez for quite some time and am about high 2100 hopefully 2200 soon in the rapid time control and I love that opening however I also really like the type of play that comes with Catalan and some English/Neo-Catalan positions and was wondering if it would be worth it to follow up and learn this openings to a playable level or if I should just stick to what I know I won’t be giving up the ruy just also knowing the Catalan as a surprise weapon I have done the same thing with black knowing both the modern Phillis or and najdorf Sicilian against e4 however that was more of a switch not an addition

What you are contemplating is developing a whole new repertoire for white rather than just learning an opening. If you feel that your games are getting stale and want a new challenge, then I suggest making the switch.
