Hello, I'm a first-time-chess-player, can you please put your eyes here and tell me what are my good moves and what are my bad moves.

Hello Huy Nguyen,

I can understand that having joined this site, you want to improve as quickly as possible. However, it is bad sportsmanship to discuss games in progress, even if they are unrated. As far as I know, the rules of this site even forbid this explicitly.

greetz,

I think 9.Ba4 is not as good as 9.Bxc6 because after your bishop is taken on c6 you have 10. e5.

post again when the game's over and tell skyjoe.... i have more advice for black than white on this opening.

There is much you could improve about your opening, but Torkil is right -- you can't solicit advice while the game is in progress.  Let us know when the game is over, and we'll be happy to discuss what you could have done better.

Thank you for all of your replies.

Instead of 9. Ba4 you should have played Bc7

Instead of now, you may have commented 15 years ago, while the OP was still active.

Any kind of opening is ok, except for the fool’s mate XD

- 15 years late

- Bad Sportsmanship by OP

- Crazy Necromancy from random player

Answer to OP question should of been the opening he is playing is Questionable.

- Queen Gambit

- Jobava London

- London

- Colle

- Rubenstein

- Trompowsky

- Torre Attack

If you start naming all the lines White could of played compared to what he did play.
The line he plays is on lower spectrum of openings.

We would say it’s a Questionable opening.

2.e3 looks passive, defending a pawn that isn't under attack plus blocking your dark squared bishop.
