If you get that I'm joking, why did you feel the need to explain that my post wasn't actually helpful? It was a reference to the drawishness and lack of opening variety in the world championship match. I get that you weren't amused.

So I just started a series on calculation. Right now it's building on the basics but it's going on building a framework from opening to endgame.

Each post is like a 1-2 minute read.

This is the most recent one. Hope it helps happy.png

Hello everyone, i am sixteen and i just started chess. I would like to know which openings to study first. I know openings will boost my game performance by a bunch so I need the help of people like you. Also, I would like detailed instructions on the proper way to study it.

Thanks a bunch.

I didn't even read all the posts. I know what they said. Its tactics and forget about certain endgames. I've heard GM's comments on this and they say its important to have a couple that you know real well. I'll leave that up to you on which ones should or shouldn't be chosen.

If you’re looking to work on your chess openings, I’ve got a suggestion that’s been super helpful for me: AiChessCoach.net. It’s this free site where you just enter your Lichess or Chess.com username, and it pulls in your latest games (up to 1000) automatically. It analyzes your openings in a way that actually feels useful, pointing out recurring mistakes and suggesting specific moves to work on. It’s simple but seriously effective if you’re aiming to improve!
