1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. Bc4 d6 { I make it here, and have problems }
5.Nd5 puts your knight on a central square where it can't be immediately displaced and threatens Nxb4. His b4-bishop is looking rather silly!

I play d4 on a daily basis.
As for you, if youre confused about an opening, then it is usually not for you. Do what works!
NEW DEBATE!
Why is e4 considered a better fist move than d4?
Who says that ? d4 and e4 are both good opening moves , they control the centre and allow your bishops to develop . d4 has the tendency to produce more strategic games , and e4 more tactical , but this ofcourse depends on the other moves made . For example Petroff ( russian game ) has a tendency of being very dry and uninspiring and drawish , and that arises from 1.e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 . SO just play what you feel most comfortable with . Although for a beginner I recommend you study more tactical and openings with less theory , Italian game can be a little dull but it's simple to play and there is little theory . Also I would advise to play Scotch game
I'll just start a openings debater's thread, where you can simply debate whatever you wish for openings. As soon as we can agree on an answer, we can debate something else that has something to do with openings.
I have problems with this. What is a good move here?
