Does anyone know what the 'viewing options' are for the World Champs this week? I saw this link for Chess24's coverage but will it show live action of Carlsen & Nepo?  And where have Jan and Peter Svidler gone?  I am sure chess.com will have good coverage too but what is their plan? Sorry if I have missed other posts or news elsewhere on this subject.  I think during the last World Champs you could only watch the live action of the players by signing up/paying World Chess for their stream?

I would like to know if there is an official broadcast/coverage of the games (in English).

Yes

I think I've figured out it's at 1 pm eastern u.s. time.  I hope that's right because I don't want to miss the first move.

Contenchess

I think it's 7 am eastern standard time. 🤔

2nd game offered some exciting moments ended in draw.

I do wish the games were played at a faster time period. Two games a day, each player has each color. Time limit cut in half, 15 minute break between games. Looking at my own draw percentages, it's 9% draws at Dailey time controls, 5% for rapid, 4% blitz, and 2% draws when playing bullet. So I would expect to see fewer draws, less interviews during the games, and of course twice as many games.

I was thinking the match format can be changed to the following:

-  best of 12 classical games (allowing up to 7 hours of play). If this is tied, then:

- best of 12 fast-classical games: 60 minutes + 30-sec increment for whole game (two games per day)

- If champion gets draw-odds if it's still a tie only if he wins at least 4 games throughout the whole match. Otherwise both the champion and challenger has to play in the next Candidates Tournament to qualify for the next title match.
