So sad! Rest in peace Jules
No Easy Way To Say This
Omg.
My heart is broken.
Rest in peace Jules. I loved working with you in the beginning and you taught me a lot.
My time modereraring on the site was fun because of you and our little group 'in the castle'.
You were loved by many. I will always remember you for your strength, love for the mémbers of the site, and your patience with all of us mods.
Thank you so much for being a friend and ear when I needed it the most.

My condolences to all her family and friends. She was unique.
She wrote to me a few times which, to be honest, quite flattered me.
It is very evident that she endured long and deep suffering, possibly her whole life.
Requiescat in Pace.
One of the first people I remember from chess.com, had some nice conversations and got some help from her as a kid back around 2010. Very sad news
Scunnered to hear of this dreadful news. @kohai was very much one the public face of chessdotcom staff, always there to lend a hand to those who needed it.
She suffered a lot of pain in recent years, but 56 is no age.
RIP Jules and sincerest condolences to all the family
Julie was my good friend. We spent countless hours together testing and taking care of reported issues in early years of live chess. I met her in Wales in Dec 2015 after she left Chess.com and she had health issues since around that time, I believe. She really missed working with the community as she considered herself a workaholic and could spent 15+ hours a day on what she was currently taking care of. She kept sending birthday wishes or Chess.com anniversary greetings to me over the years. Among many others, I have good memories from 2012 meetup in California where we had a good time playing a board game as a team of two.
Rest in peace, Julie.
I propose a toast to the prettiest, nicest, smartest Staff person we ever had. Hopefully she's in Heaven laughing her buns off.
Since anonymity is no longer an issue here, would someone post a picture and some biography please?
@Retired_Workaholic
was her user name, and there is a picture (of her, I can only presume), and a little she wrote about herself.
Hope that helps.
I have just read a thread or two of exchanges she had with other members, most well known to us who have been around a while.
They are informative and entertaining.
Some lady was our @kohai
She had a fan club also.. https://www.chess.com/club/kohai-lovers
Ah man, that's brutal a news! May she rest in peace! I've got loads of great memories of Kohai due to our interactions. A real Lady yo!
